Bo's Newborn & Family photoshoot

About two weeks after Bo was born we had the fabulously talented Mallary Olson come to do some newborn pics of Bo.  As with most of his first month he barely had his eyes open.  Jake of course stole the show.  The pictures are light, summery, and beautiful as always.  I think how frantic I felt inside that day.  I was a new Mom of two, I was nursing again and it just felt like we were trying to figure out this new gig.  It makes me realize how far we have come.  Here are some of my favorites from that day. 

A Year of Jake

My heart is even more full than I ever could have imagined.  I am not the person that I was a year ago.  I am nicer, I am more loving, my heart is more tender, I cry easier, I am not quite as smart, I love harder, I laugh more, I worry less or at least different, I am more relaxed, I am more tired, and I am happier than I have ever been in my life.  Brian and I are grateful everyday that Jake chose us to be his parents.  This little person is our world and he will be forever.

Bloggy Fun

You might have noticed a slightly updated look to the blog.  Well, with Jake taking a little longer naps here and there I have had sometime to make some changes and explore somethings online.

On Pinterest I keep a board called For a Rainy Day that I have added stuff to that sounds interesting, but I never know when I might get to it.  One of the pins I added was about blog headers.

It lead me to this blogging site. This is a great tutorial on how to use Pic Monkey.

This is why I love Pinterest, it can lead you to things you never knew existed.
First, a website actually about blogging and resources for that and then to a site where photo/collage editing is totally free (unless you want some of the fancy stuff.)  The collage feature is what I used to update my title header.

An iPhone and iPad app I am loving right now is called Over.

Was he ever really this small?

In these pictures our sweet baby Jake was just one week and two days old.  It has only been 4 months, but I still can't believe he was ever this tiny.  Our favorite photographer, Mallary Olson, was at it again - capturing a really special time for our new little family of three.  These are some of my favorites from that day...and like any good family photo shoot, it wouldn't be complete if Brian didn't get his time in the spotlight.
