At 33 weeks I am still feeling good. I am a little behind in my posts because I am actually 35 weeks as of today, so there are more pics coming! I have stayed active and on the go. Cleaning out closets, cupboards, and drawers to prep for Peanut's arrival. Lucky for me we have had a beautiful Fall in Portland so I have been able to stretch my Summer wardrobe as far as possible...both seasonally and literally on the my tummy! I do feel myself slowing down, but I am not quite ready to not be pregnant anymore, so I suppose that whole 40 week deal is about right.

Maui: Vacation ending
Our last couple days in Hawaii were just full of relaxation. We spent long days by the ocean, Brian got a little more golf in and I went to the spa twice! It was perfect. I had this idea about trying to capture my belly at sunset with just a silhouette, so one night we had a little photo shoot on the beach. Brian did a great job getting some cool shots. We saw such magnificent sunsets while we were there. I can't believe it has already been nearly a month since we got back. They fade so quickly, but there is so much to look forward to!

Maternity Pic - sneak peek
I owe quite a few things on the blog this week. Bump watch photos - growing strong, Nursery pics, and the last of the Maui pictures. In the meantime, the uber-talented Mallary Olson took some pictures for us last weekend. We don't have them all yet, but here is a look with more to come!

It's a Boy! It's a Girl!
To avoid any confusion from my post yesterday, we still don't know the sex of the baby. It happened to be a boy in my dream two nights ago, but I also think it was the size of a toddler when it was born and we (me) are really hoping that isn't the true.

Special Treat
It has been a very interesting week at work. Very interesting. I don't write much about work and I won't in this post either, but it is important to give a little context here.
Put together a little change in work life and a 8 1/2 month prego Liz and we are talking high emotion! Or at least a lot of chocolate being consumed.
I have been really good about this transition, keeping relaxed, keeping it all in perspective. That was until today. Last night I had weird dreams. My first gender dream (by the way, we are having a boy) about the baby and then woke up early with a mind that wouldn't shut down. That led to a morning of anxiety but also some really fun surprises. Totally unplanned today I got to have BOTH breakfast and lunch with my husband.
The person I live with, see every morning and every night, yet still, these two little breaks in the day to sit with him (and by the way chat his ear off) were so appreciated and so necessary. He is the perfect balance to me, it is like I can literally think clearer when he is around. Maybe it was special because it was unplanned, maybe because although we work at the same place we NEVER do that, or maybe it was because he is exactly what I needed. I think I would bank on the last one.
So transition will continue, uncertainty will loom, but one thing is for sure, in just about 6 weeks we are going to be parents and I get to start a new adventure with the one person that will always keep me sane.

Maui Day 4 & 5
After we had such an action packed day with the "little girls"we spent a quiet day by the ocean and then went up to Kapalua for cocktails and sushi. The next day we sat by the pool for a little while and then headed back to Kapalua to play the Plantation Course. It is one of the most unique golf courses and we got to play it for a second time. We got paired up with a couple (Jim & Pat) from New York that were in Hawaii to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. We had a really fun round and finished off the day at the Maui Brewing company over bacon cheeseburgers. Yum.
While we were on the beach in the morning on Monday we watched this couple in the ocean. They were splashing each other and flirting and then walked up the beach holding hands. I hope Brian and I are this couple someday. It was so sweet.

32 Weeks
I have a little work to do to catch up on prego pics...but this was me at 32 weeks...I am now 33 1/2, so I owe my updated pictures. All is well with baby and mama. I still feel it moving all over the place and once in a while I feel a head or a bum jabbing out in my tummy. Brian gets upset when I push on it, he thinks I am bothering it and the baby will punish us when it is born. It is getting bigger and so am I. I am getting really lazy with my chalkboard too. I think I might have it on the ground at some point before this little Peanut comes out.

Maui Day 3: #Lanterfamilyfundaysunday
We were fortunate enough to spend one special day of our vacation with our two favorite 20-somethings. Ashley and Jenna (the little girls) as I refer to them were on Maui for Labor Day weekend. They joined us early at our hotel where we spent the day in cabanas enjoying the sunshine, floaty toys, social media, and funny stories. We freshened up for a night on the town - a "cocktail cruise" (booze cruise) for a couple hours and then dinner on the beach. To top off a very fun day of sunshine and good laughs - Jenna took one final swim in our pool. In her dress.

Maui Day 1 & Day 2
We got to Maui on Friday, August 31st. We had a whole week to look forward to!
Once we got to the hotel that first afternoon we went down to the pool bar and enjoyed some happy hour. We headed down to Hula Grill for a little dinner and ended up in bed pretty early for a full day of sunshine planned on Saturday.
Saturday we got a little exercise in the morning, rented an oceanside cabana for the day and headed to Kimo's for a nice dinner. Our first day of basically doing nothing was a huge success.
